What we'd tell you
- Go in June or September. July and August bring the heat and the crowds.
- Hire a car. The best coves are reached on foot from a car park, not by resort shuttle.
- Many hotels close for winter, so this is a May-to-October destination.
The one thing most people get wrong
Most people treat Menorca as one long beach. The best coves are on the south coast and you can only reach them on foot, so stay somewhere quiet, hire a car, and get to the cove before 10.
