What we'd tell you
- Seaplanes fly in daylight only. A late arrival into Malé can mean a night in transit, so the flight decides the resort as much as the brochure does.
- January to April is the dry season. The rest of the year brings showers and lower rates.
- Landaa Giraavaru is in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a seaplane ride away. The Ritz-Carlton is a speedboat ride from the airport.
