Jerusalem & Tel Aviv

Israel · Planned by Harsh

Two cities under an hour apart that feel like different countries: Jerusalem for history, Tel Aviv for the beach and the food.

What we'd tell you

  1. Plan around Shabbat. In Jerusalem much closes from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, so that's the moment to move to Tel Aviv.
  2. Spring and autumn are the windows. Midsummer is hard going in the heat.
  3. We check current travel advisories with you before anything is booked.

The one thing most people get wrong

Most people do Jerusalem as a day trip from Tel Aviv. Give it at least two nights: the Old City is at its best early in the morning, before the tour groups arrive.
